PWS / Hole Punching

Prepare repeat hole patterns with a defined layout and a clear processing scope.

Through-hole punching in suitable material and sections, subject to machine capacity, punch/die tooling and the proposed hole geometry. Blind holes are handled as drilling requirements.

What to provide

  • Material grade, section and thickness.
  • Hole shape, size and quantity.
  • Hole centres and distances from reference edges.
  • Drawings, repeat-pattern requirements and the number of components.

How pricing is established

Tooling and setup, material and thickness, hole size and shape, pattern, quantity and handling.

The quotation confirms the job charge and any minimum, additional operations, material, consumables or transport included.

Confirm the arrangements

PWS reviews equipment availability, accepted material, tooling, dimensions, requirements and timing before accepting the job.

After the scope and price are agreed, PWS can issue a payment link for the approved service order.

REQUEST HOLE PUNCHING

Upload your hole layout drawing or dimensioned sketch.

Upload a drawing, PDF or a clear photo of a dimensioned hand sketch. Label each different part or size and its quantity. Show hole diameters, hole quantities and positions measured from clear reference edges, with units. Include the part outlines, hole centres and distances from reference edges. For drilling, identify through or blind holes and any required depths. PWS can redraw your sketch and carry out the calculations needed for the quotation.

The selected unit applies to every length dimension in this form. Changing units converts entered numeric dimensions. Quantities stay as counts and angles stay in degrees. Label units on uploaded drawings and in free-text notes; these files and notes are not rescaled.

Hole sizes and quantities

Use one row per hole size and type on a part. Repeat the same part mark and part quantity when that part has another hole size. Use a different part mark for a different design. Hole locations belong on the uploaded drawing.

Example: 15 plates with four holes of one size each = 60 holes. If each plate also needs two holes of another size, add another row with the same part mark, 15 parts and 2 holes per part.

Punching normally produces through-holes. Select the hole shape and size; PWS confirms the available punch/die tooling and material thickness. Request blind holes through the drilling service.

Hole group 1

For a long or mixed-thickness job, upload a complete labelled schedule showing each part, material thickness, part quantity, hole sizes and holes per part.

Use the job notes for part marks / drawing references, mixed materials or thicknesses, tolerances, finishing, priorities and extra instructions. Put each part quantity and the hole layout on the drawing or sketch so different jobs and hole sizes are clear.

A hole layout drawing or dimensioned sketch is required. Attach up to 3 JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF files, 5 MB each. Attachments are emailed to PWS and are not published on the website.

Need another operation as well?

Include the full drawing or processing sequence in your request. PWS can review a combined scope rather than treating each operation as an unrelated job.
