CNC PLASMA / JOB COSTING

Know your cutting cost.

Estimate CNC plasma cutting prices from cut length, cutting speed, pierces and shop time. Add material and other costs when needed. Get a clear job total, price per part and printable estimate.

Your cutting job

Enter what you know. Blank fields use the labelled example assumptions. For a working estimate, replace example cutting speed and pierce delay with your machine’s cut-chart or measured values.

Cut length includes every contour, hole and lead-in for one part. The hourly charge should include the labour, overhead and profit you want to recover. Currency selection changes the label; it does not convert amounts.

Setup and production time

Efficiency accounts for slowing around corners and small features. Keep it at 100% when your entered speed is already the measured average. Rapid travel excludes cutting and does not incur cutting-consumable charges.

Optional: material and additional charges

Enter extra costs only when they are not already recovered in your hourly charge. All amounts use the selected currency.

Material waste applies only to material cost. Markup applies to the subtotal; it is not profit margin. Minimum charge is applied last. No tax, delivery or exchange conversion is added automatically.

Your estimate

Calculate using your values or the labelled example assumptions.

Material and thickness identify the job. Cutting speed and pierce delay determine the cutting time; no unverified machine settings are inferred.

How the estimate works

Cutting minutes = total cut length ÷ effective cutting speed.

Chargeable time = cutting + piercing + rapid travel + setup + programming + handling.

Job price = time charge + material allowance + extra consumables + other charges, then additional markup and any minimum charge.

Identical parts share the job setup and programming costs. For different geometries, use separate estimates or enter one combined job with its total length and pierces.

Planning estimate, not a binding quotation. Verify cut length, nesting, machine capability and production time before pricing a job. A thickness entry does not establish that your machine can cut or pierce that material.

The shared counter records successful calculations across all visitors. Page views, edits, resets, copying and printing do not increase it.
