A photo can show a style you like. It cannot confirm every measurement, fixing surface or access condition at your property. A site assessment brings that information into the project before the final quotation is prepared.
What the visit is for
During an assessment, PWS captures measurements, discusses your requirements and reviews the conditions relevant to the proposed work. For a railing project, that includes the route and installation areas. For a gate, the opening and surrounding access need to be understood. Photos and notes help connect the measurements to the actual site.
The assessment helps define the scope. It is not a promise that every possible design can be installed without further development, nor does it mean procurement begins immediately after the visit.
Prepare the information you already have
Before booking, gather your project location, a short description, reference images and approximate dimensions. If there are drawings, keep the latest revision available. Think about the appearance you want, how the area is used and the budget range you are working toward.
For an initial railing budget, the Railing Feasibility Calculator can be a useful first step. Its preliminary range helps you decide whether an assessment is the right next move.
How the booking process works
Use the PWS site assessment booking page and select the project community. Provide directions and a location pin, or use the available post-submission WhatsApp option to share the property location. Use current-location capture only when you are at the project site.
The form provides the relevant next steps for listed communities. Unlisted or uncertain locations require PWS review before payment. Do not guess a zone just to complete checkout. Check the displayed fee and instructions for your location.
You may suggest convenient dates or time windows, but PWS confirms the appointment with you. Submitting the form or paying does not reserve a particular time by itself.
What happens to the assessment fee?
The paid assessment fee is credited toward the project price when you proceed with PWS, under the published assessment terms. Check those terms and your instructions for the details that apply to your booking.
After the assessment
The information collected supports the project quotation and discussion of materials, finish, installation and lead time. Changes to the design or site can require the scope to be reviewed before work proceeds.
